29. Wild blue yonder

It was burning with different shades of cantaloupe,
where the moonlight and the sky wanted to elope,
but the day kept dripping away it's glare,
and bled into its darkest nightmare.

Behind the bars but beyond their superpowers,
we seem to be like those two scintillating stars,
meant to stay unfathomable light years apart,
in a wild blue yonder, an eternal bliss,
even though they seem to be so close,
they are meant to have a distance.

Suddenly a thing came forth my mind,
and I am trying to convert it into words,
how people become part of each other’s life,
that it is inevitable to forget their journey in ours.

Cold and dark seasons of separation pass over,
holding the moment of senescence forever,
like how the stars, they burn until they die and smother,
never knowing the reason of staying away from each other,
until they meet in some different wavelength,
interspersed in a different world, in a different corner somewhere.

You and I, we are stardust,
we are stars in this wild blue yonder,
gilded with star gates,
let them run a wild goose chase,
finding us, losing us in this wild blue yonder haze.
