57. Late night at my apartment

We had a date, at my apartment
I called you up so you would turn in little late,
cause you know my house was a mess,
I rushed in from my workplace
trying to get a glimpse of your face,
before we parted our ways this summer,
we lose all the memories we made in two days,

we had a date at my apartment,
little did we knew what it was to become,
until I cooked some dinner, late till you stayed
call me dumb but I just made you a new friend,
in this city where people are just strange, and things work just how they're meant to be,
so I'd say thank you for showing up, stranger to my place.

sat in that rug of my apartment,
laboured in that breathing, so unfortunate,
did we kiss, you had to leave, the very next morning,
I made pancakes, did you leave me alone, in my own apartment?
we'll figure it out or we'll never know I guess

late night at my apartment,
did we end up making love,
darling not the worst sin I committed tonight?
on a love spell with some kind of strings attached,
the worst kind of casual sex I've ever had,
august has been one fleeting moment behind in the past,
cause it's late night in my apartment today.
