44. If I get through this day, I'll get through another

now that its all over, my fondest of memories bygone,
If I get through this day, I'll get through another one,
If I can just go through this week, I'll become strong,
night is the time I have been feeling the loneliest and alone,
sat in my front door watching amblers by pass,
but I am still at that cafe table,
same place where you left me by the window side,
caught in this circle of life,
planning past my ruses,
bad decisions, awful guys,
by the window, I rolled my die,
been sipping caffeine, I stare,
a lady with pretty dress,
the city at its best,
arching high bridges, nurture chasing the riches,
it's the nature of business and business of nature,
all my butterflies dead, make a mess all around,
waiting for that moment when I can make it all count,
I would have it all,
your parents are going to be old and it's not going to be perfect,
so if I can live through all of it, it just becomes a smaller ball of fear.
I'm just a lover who thought it was all over but didn't want to give up.

i had a great time last night,
yet I'm miserable in the morning,
a hangover to last till afternoon,
and worst of the worst pains to be painted,
if only I could scream again and again,
that summer we parted and lost all friends,
for whom I would melt, I swear I loved them,
that summer was everything we had, we were hitting the peak in the past,
all our families getting apart, seeing our parents getting a little older,
so you keep counting days that made dreams bitter,
leave the school for the hope of making it all better,
living in a dream, making the fondest of memories,
I'm just a traveller who thought it was all over,
If we get through this day, we'll get through another,
we'll start over it again but even if we can't, if we don't,
we'll work our way towards making each other proud,
a great poet and a great problem solver to have ever lived,
together we'll heal this world, make it a better place,
if I get through this day, we'll get through another.
